Reser’s Recall & Listeria Lawyer

The Food Poisoning Lawyer at the Merman Law Firm, principal office located in Houston, Texas, has learned from the USDA and the FDA that Reser’s Fine Foods products have been linked to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Many of the company’s products have been recalled, along with products distributed by other companies that use Reser’s products in their own. For more information on the products that have been affected, see our post. Symptoms of Listeria are flu-like and usually arise twenty-four hours after ingestion, lasting for up to two days in healthy individuals.  The onset of the infection generally presents with diarrhea, but can also include fever, body aches, headaches, stiffness in the neck, loss of balance, disorientation and convulsions. However, in healthy individuals, no symptoms may develop despite infection. This investigation is ongoing and the Merman Law Firm will remain informed on any new information released by the investigating authorities. If you suspect that you are suffering from food poisoning as a result of consuming Reser’s products, seek medical attention immediately.
